HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

I hope everyone had a safe and fun New Years Eve! I studied...big surprise.

2008 was actually a really good year for me.
  • I graduated from law school.
  • My sister had my niece.
  • I turned 30 in NYC.
  • I met some wonderful people & friends
  • I spent time with old friends
  • I went to the Dominican Republic
  • Went to St. Augustine ( I highly suggest you go if you have never been)
  • I got clear PET scans
  • Had a newspaper article written about my battle with cancer
  • Started Get The Bean
  • Started GTB Fights Cancer
  • Started Spirit Jump
Theres much more but my point is, its been a good year. Yes there was bad and I don't need to give the bad the privilege of being written down. But, I do not look at New Years as a promise of better times. I have seen some very bad times and now I understand that good times are always there, you just need to be conscious of them.

Celebrate the New Year but remember that there will be good and bad. It is your job to give life to the good and battle against the bad.

We have much in common. Though there has been the bad of course there is a lot of good and I had clear PET scans in 2008 too so all in all I won't complain!

Meaghan-

I just came across your blog and am a fellow Nova Law alumni (May '07)and am now a member of the New York and Federal bars. Your story is very inspirational and I am very happy for you. You must have been very proud at graduation. While the bar will be tough, it sounds like it will be a cake walk compared to what you have already been through.

Best of luck.

Happy New Year!

I read your story in the Miami Herald, especially given you graduated from Nova. I'm going there now for my MBA. Well, I am glad your doing fine.
