LAUNCH A STAR

As you can see I have added a new feature to my blog: Launch A Star. This is pretty cool and I hope you all take advantage of it.

The Constellation is a tribute space to honor anyone who has received a cancer diagnosis.

For a donation of $1 or more, you can add a star to the Constellation in the name of someone you love: a family member, a co-worker, a friend.

I know all of you at least know one person, ME :) Please help me Stand Up to Cancer by participating.

As always thanks for your support!

xoxo

Wow, thanks!

I'm guessing that you know there's a group too on Facebook that you can use to spread the word to people you know? Some of my friends found it easier to use that to explain the contest :)

Meaghan,

I came across your blog from BlogforaCure.com and immediately thought I had to read your story.
I have been trying for over three years to get the word out about the HPV Virus and Cervical Cancer and how deadly it can be. My sister was diagnosed when she was 27 years old. Ironically enough my sisters name is Megin. Unfortunately I lost my sister at age 29 to the type she had which was small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the cervix. It attacks only about 1% of the population of cervical cancer cases, so I have been told, but I am finding more and more people who have been afflicted with it every day!!

I too joined StandUp2Cancer.org and started the Megin S. Fanz Memorial Fund to Raise Money and Awareness about the deadly attacks cervical cancer and the HPV virus are making on young women. I also Launched a Star in her Name.

I have been blogging about it for months and have sent out hundreds of emails and I have had exactly 3 people respond and join....It's just sad that people dont want to get involved until its too late for THEM.

I do wish the best for you it seems that all Megin's have a large fighting spirit with great optimism. Keep fighting the Good fight, with a tattoo effect (this is something I used to always tell my sister)
